چکیده

The compatibility between a composite beam cross-sectional analysis based on the variational asymptotic approach, and a helicopter rotor blade model which is part of a comprehensive rotorcraft analysis code is examined. It was found that the finite element cross-sectional analysis code VABS can be combined with a moderate deflection rotor blade model in spite of the differences between the formulations. The new YF/VABS rotor blade model accounts for arbitrary cross-sectional warping, in-plane stresses, and moderate deflections. The YF/VABS composite rotor blade model was validated against experimental data and various rotor blade analyses by examining displacements and stresses under static loads, as well as aeroelastic stability of a composite rotor blade in hover, and forward flight vibratory hubloads of a four bladed composite rotor. 2008 Elsevier Ltd. Optimum Design Ofa Helicopter Rotor for Low Vibration Using Aeroelastic Analysis and Response Surface Methods

An aeroelastic analysis based on finite elements in space and time is used to model the helicopter rotor in forward flight. The rotor blade is represented as an elastic cantilever beam undergoing flap and lag bending, elastic torsion and axial deformations. The objective of the improved design is to reduce vibratory loads at the rotor hub that are the main source of helicopter vibration. Constr...

Analysis of Stresses in Helicopter Composite blade in Hovering Maneuver

The main purpose of this article is the structural analysis of a composite blade of a selected helicopter. In this study, the stresses on rotors' blades caused by centrifugal forces, lift, drag and torque are analyzed. The governing equations of the structure behavior and solving processes were carried out by MATLAB software, and simulation is carried out by ABAQUS software, and they are compar...

Particle Swarm Optimization Approach for Multi-Objective Composite Box-Beam Design

This paper presents a multi-agent search technique to design an optimal composite box-beam helicopter rotor blade. The search technique is called particle swarm optimization (‘inspired by the choreography of a bird flock’). The continuous geometry parameters (cross-sectional dimensions) and discrete ply angles of the box-beams are considered as design variables. The objective of the design prob...
